in Massage Therapy in Wisconsin

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – May 2, 2006

Lakeside School of Massage Therapy has added the option of an associate degree to their existing 750-hour diploma program in massage therapy. Lakeside is the first in the state to offer an associate degree in massage therapy. The school has added advanced education and training in exercise physiology, nutrition, pharmacology, orthopedic testing, assessment, research, and massage therapy techniques for those wishing to enhance their career in massage therapy.

David C. Dies, executive secretary of the State of Wisconsin Educational Approval Board, stated that "Lakeside has been a leader in the field of massage therapy. They were the first Wisconsin institution to be accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), a specialized accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education."

Lakeside School of Massage Therapy was the first massage therapy school in the State of Wisconsin both to become accredited and to offer federal financial aid for those who qualify. The institution has continually provided quality massage therapy education for over 20 years. Lakeside has locations in both Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.
